BEAVER MANAGEMENT GROUPS
A beaver advisory or management group is typically composed of organisations and individuals working together to provide expert advice and information to communities and landowners who are living alongside beavers in their local river catchment. Such groups are generally formed in places where there are wild beavers so that local stakeholder groups with an interest in wild beaver populations can be represented in the decisions made about how the beavers are monitored and managed. These groups welcome engagement from, and concerns raised by, members of the local community.

Respect the open water environment and its ecological importance. Check your equipment is clean, dry and free from invasive plants or animals when visiting new sites. We would recommend using the biosecurity procedures outlined in the Check Clean Dry campaign. Be mindful of the impact your activities might have on the aquatic ecosystem and aim to work in a way that preserves the natural balance, protecting these vital water sources and their inhabitants for future generations.
